The class war and terror

Now...if I could remember where I found this quote... This is the sort of class structure that riddles our society. What's done from the top down is good, what's done from the bottom up is bad—terrorism, music, values, whatever. This is how the class war really works, both at home and, as in Iraq, Central America, elsewhere. We're the good guys, they're the bad guys. Remember the Bob Dyland song, "With God on our side"?

"One of the fundamental premises of this culture it is based on a clearly
defined and widely accepted yet often unarticulated hierarchy. Violence
done by those higher on the hierarchy to those lower is nearly always
transparent, that is, unnoticed. When it is noticed, it is fully rationalized.
Violence done by those lower on the hierarchy to those higher is
unthinkable, and when it does occur is regarded with shock, horror, and
the fetishization of the victims."

Comments:
I absolutely agree. Is that quote from Chomsky?
