Rumsfeld: Torturer in Chief? Or Simply Administration Patsy?
Maybe some people need more information about the administration’s involvement with torturing prisoners at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib. This week’s Salon story should fill anybody’s stomach to the point of nausea. Rumsfeld knew; Rumsfeld authorized; Rumsfeld lied about it. If Rummy knew, the rest of the Bush Administration knew—and, in my mind, co-signed on the torture.
Crooks, thugs, liars, and torturers. That’s the bunch that are running this country: that is the Executive Branch today. I believe that. It makes me so angry and sick that my hands are shaking. That the majority of us, myself included, are putting up with this neo-Nazi bullshit, also makes me me sick at my stomach. What do we do about it?
I don’t know. I wonder if we can do anything.
And that makes me sick, too.
The link below goes to an article from Salon. I just heard that Salon considers my posting of the entire article to be in violation of copywrite. See my posts for 5/1/06 for more info. The sum of the article is that Rummy was personally involved in authorizing the torture of prisoners.
