In case anyone wondered, here's a report on what happened at Haditha—our Brave Boys, Death Before Dishonor, murdered some Iraqi civilians. Camel jockeys. Ragheads.

"...view civilian casualties...as routine and as the natural and intended result of insurgent tactics,"
Blame the victims why doncha.
However, I was always under the understanding that marines were trained to have a total disregard for human life. You don't train someone to kill their fellow human beings for humanity's sake. You train them to kill without question. At least that has always been my understanding. Maybe I'm wrong?

Kind of like "Can't make an omlette without breaking eggs"?
The other day I saw a car with the name of a dead marine in the back window, his rank, the dates of his life and death, and the phrase "Death Before Dishonor," and I though how sad that was, people were so determined to make sense out of a death in that senseless war...Lot of pain there, lot of pain. And denial.
