Jasper Webster

My son, Jasper, has gone on to the other side of the great river. He's been gone for three years and some months. He lived in Portland and was a steady volunteer at KBOO, the listen-sponsored community radio station there.

I just listened to their 5 p.m. station break. It's a recording of him doing the break.

My heart breaks once again.

Comments:
If Jasper lived in Downtown Portland, and at one time worked in Gresham Oregon at a 7-11 for a time, then I knew him, and I considered him a great friend. He will be missed forever.

That's him. Your good words are a nice salve. My best to you and your family!

Hey Pete, Nathan Lake here. I miss your son. We had some good times growing up together. He was one of the good ones! nateanddawnsplace@yahoo.com

One of these days I would like to build a small memorial website for him.

We didn't always see eye to eye on evry subject, but we could always find that common ground in any subject.

Jasper was one of those VERY few people, I could actually call a friend and mean it from the bottom of my heart.

Dammit man I miss you. I wish you could be here now, to see my family, to meet them. Both of my kids would like you. They have that same quirkyness to them. My cousin Tony never forgot what you did for him in 7-11 that day. If I ever end up having another son, I'm going to name him Jasper.

Fare thee well my friend, and God Bless.
