Now is the hour

OK: it’s an awful situation. OK, our “leaders” are pricks. OK, our elections are a farce.

Now what?

Well, this:

We are the Ones We've been Waiting For
You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour.
Now you must go back and tell the people that this is The Hour.
And there are things to be considered:
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships? Are you in right relation?
Where is your water? Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your community. Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader.
We are the ones we've been waiting for.
--The Elders Oraibi, Arizona Hopi Nation

Comments:
'We are the ones we've been waiting for' I think is the right attitude to take. Historically, leaders of any type, even of initially revolutionary origins, betray the movements that they spawn. We need to learn from our mistakes.

But how to do this? How do we start a movement that will grow and not have its purpose be coopted from the leadership or from apathy or inactivity? I've recently come up with a proposal that I just outlined on my blog. If you're interested I would like to hear your thoughts on it.

Best,
Delta
